Simi Covenant is blessed with leaders committed to Jesus Christ and to what God is calling this church to be. Our leadership areas include: the Leadership Team, which provides regular leadership for our church; Pastoral and Church Staff; and many other leaders act as committee chairs and liaisons. JENNIFER BOESHAAR
Coordinator of Children’s Ministry
Jenn is eager to see that all our kids get a good experience as they learn to love Jesus and get connected to other kids in the church family. At her house there’s always room for one more chicken. :)
DAVID CHUN
Director of Youth Ministry
A San Fernando Valley native, David has served in several churches in the area and came to Simi Cov in August 2022. David wants others to join him on the journey with Christ. He also brings good snacks.
CHRISTY DAY
Administrative Assistant
Christy is the voice of Simi Covenant ensuring the front office is a well-oiled machine. Although most people immediately see what a major asset she is in organizing the chaos, the wisdom and people care she brings to the staff team is equally invaluable.
JAY DENTON
Director of Worship
Jay officially joined staff in August 2017 after serving as Interim Worship Leader for over a year. He brings a passion for worship, a desire to connect people to the Lord through music, and ability to mentor budding musicians to the team. See some of Jay’s other projects at Endure Studios.
KURT MORRILL
Lead Pastor
Kurt joined Simi Covenant in January 2020 as senior pastor. Previous to being at Simi Cov Kurt worked in college student ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (9 of those years were in France with Groupes Bibliques Universitaires). But his first church internship was in Mexico City. He previously served at Oakland First Covenant Church. He is married to Karyn. They love cultures and enjoy speaking French and Spanish with friends around the world.
AMANDA RICHINS
Director of Children’s Ministry
Amanda is excited about connecting children and their families to God, each other, and our faith community. She also hopes our volunteers love being a part of the process and it deepens their faith as a result. She brings creativity, thoughtfulness, humor, and a deep desire to honor God in all she does.
KRISTY SIMONS
Preschool Director
Kristy is committed to serving God and families by providing an academic and developmentally appropriate preschool age program that helps young children grow and develop cognitive, spiritual, physical, and social skills that prepare them for future school success. www.simicovpreschool.com
